Snarky brands aren’t boring

snarkybrands feature

Humor has always been a great marketing tool. Let’s face it, we all like to laugh. Brands like Old Spice, Dollar Shave Club and even Kmart with their “I Shipped My Pants” campaign have gone beyond humor to embrace snark as a brand platform and a foundation for bold design. Yes, I know, t shirts and coffee mugs have always embraced snarky witticisms that can often be classified as “cheesy”, but there’s a whole new school of snarky brands taking clever consumer giftables to the next level. Anything but boring, here are a few of our favorites:

Paper Jam Press

Song lyrics from rap, hip-hop and pop songs reimagined into minimalist cool posters, totes and t-shirts from this sly and snarky brand. What would L.L. say?

Three Potato Four

Motel style key fobs with a hint of dissident snark.

Knock Knock

The originator of snarky office supplies has everything under the sun to keep the boss guessing and you laughing. We’re especially fond of the file folders.

Tees in The Trap

Oooh, so many snarky shirts and bags to love here. The Tees in The Trap designs are quite clever and a lil’ bougie, both.

Have a few favorite snarky brands or want to tell us about your latest product score? We’d love to hear from you.

P.S. More counterculture love with jelly shots and knockout nails.
